Merge GPX files: join GPS tracks into one
Join a ride that was saved in two parts, or all the days of a tour, into one file. Files are put in order by start time and you can change the order.
How it works
-
1Drop two or more files
Any mix of GPX, TCX, FIT, KML and GeoJSON. Files with times are sorted by when they start.
-
2Check the order
See every part on the map in its own colour and move files up or down.
-
3Download one file
Join them into one continuous track, or keep them as separate tracks in one GPX file.
Join them or keep them apart
One continuous track
For a ride or run that was saved in two parts. Upload it as one activity.
Separate tracks in one file
For the days of a tour. Each part stays its own track, in GPX, KML or GeoJSON.
Questions and answers
My recording stopped and I have two files. Can I join them?
Yes. Drop both files: they are sorted by time and joined into one track, with elevation and timestamps from both parts.
Can I keep the days of a tour as separate tracks?
Yes. Turn off "Join into one continuous track" and save as GPX, KML or GeoJSON: each file becomes its own track in one file.
Will Strava accept the merged file?
Yes, if both parts have timestamps. Save it as GPX and upload it as a new activity. You may need to delete the two original activities first.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Reading and writing happen in your browser, so the files never leave your device. That also makes it fast, even for long rides.
Are elevation and time kept?
Yes. Elevation and timestamps are kept in every format that supports them: GPX, TCX, FIT and GeoJSON. KML keeps elevation.
Is it free?
Yes, completely, with no account and no limit on the number of files.
